High school senior awarded scholarship

Harriman Brendaliz Fadul of Harriman, a senior at Monroe-Woodbury Senior High School, is one of three Orange County students chosen to be awarded scholarships to attend Berkeley College’s campus in Westchester. Either Alumni or Achievement Scholarships were awarded based upon academic achievement in high school. “It is an honor to recognize the academic accomplishments of these high school seniors,” said Dr. Glen Zeitzer, senior vice president of Academic Affairs for the New York campuses. “As a college that values diversity, fosters academic growth and recognizes the potential of each student, Berkeley College looks forward to welcoming these scholarship recipients to our campuses in the coming year.” Alumni Scholarships are offered to high school seniors based on academic achievement in high school, as well as the results of competitive entrance examination. All recipients enroll in a full-time program of study at Berkeley College. Full scholarship awards have an annual value of $16,950 while partial scholarship awards have an annual value of $5,650 per year. Achievement Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors based on a GPA of 2.5 or better, and range from $3,000 to $3,600 per year.
