Florida seniors celebrate Adam Weslowski's 99th birthday

Florida — Adam Weslowski of Warwick was surprised at the Dec. 20th meeting of the Florida Seward Seniors, who celebrated his 99th birthday. His birthday is Dec. 24th. Mr. Weslowski was one of the founding members of the Florida Seward Seniors, and served as president of the group for 20 years. He also helped with the construction of the Senior Center. Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton presented Mr. Weslowski with a certificate of recognition for his many years of outstanding service to the Florida Seward Seniors. Also present were his nephew, Florida Mayor James Pawliczek, and Vincent Capello, the current president of the Seward Seniors group. In the press release announcing the surprise birthday party, the Seward Seniors described Mr. Weslowski as ““our star - maybe not a celebrity but a true shining star for this community.”
