Dressing down for a good cause

St. John Student Council members Kate McLoughlin, left, and Bridget Smith meet with Patrick Vinett, a Don Bosco Prep junior, and other council members Garrett Vinett and Alexa Malm during the recent “dress down day” at St. John the Evaneglist School. The day’s purpose was to help the Don Bosco Prep High School Mission Club, which has been raising money to help pay for a specially trained service dog that will assist an autistic child. St. John School holds “dress down” days to raise money for various causes. Like other Catholic schools, St. John requires students to wear uniforms. On these days, student pay $1 to come in everyday clothing, taking a break from wearing uniforms and coming to school in “regular” clothing. (Photo provided)
