Deans lists, awards and college graduation news
The following student was named to his college’s dean’s list: Jamie Hersh, a 2003 graduate of S.S. Seward Institute, was named to the dean’s list at the University of Buffalo for the fall 2006 semester. To qualify, a student must maintain a grade point average of 3.6 or better. The following students received awards from their colleges: Matthew P. Hranitz of Twin Brooks Drive in Chester was honored April 20 at SUNY Oswego’s Honors Convocation. He received the Paideia Award. Hranitz, a senior studying philosophy at Oswego, is the son of Carolyn Hranitz of Twin Brooks Drive in Chester and Paul Hranitz of Distillery Road in Warwick. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and his future plans include attending the New England School of Law. The following students have graduated from college: Emily Lauren Miniger graduated summa cum laude from New York University with a bachelor of science degree in communication studies with a concentration in human resources and marketing. She has been recognized for her outstanding scholastic performances a University Honors Scholar at NYU, the University Dean’s List all eight semesters, by the National Dean’s List, and is a member of Phi Sigma Theta Honor Society. She has served as a New York University ambassador for the Admissions Department during her studies and has completed five professional internships across a variety of industry sectors during her NYU career. She is the daughter of Bob and Peggy Miniger of Warwick. Lauren Selmon of Warwick, who is a presidential scholar, graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Albany with a baccalaureate degree in both English and psychology. Charles Moore of Warwick graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
