Here’s the latest from colleges and universities about the academic successes of local students: • Amy Elizabeth Walsh of Florida, N.Y., is a fall 2006 graduate at State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi, where she received an A.A.S degree in travel and tourism management. In addition, Walsh was cited for academic achievement for the fall 2007 semester by qualifying for the honors list for maintaining a grade point average of between 3.5 and 3.74. • Kelly Herlihy, a 2005 graduate of S.S. Seward Institute, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2006 semester at SUNY Cortland. The daughter of William and Claire Herlihy of Florida, she is majoring in inclusive special education. • Hadiya Nelthrope, a 2005 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, has been named to the dean’s list at the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University for the fall 2006 semester.
