Community Foundation to honor James Ottaway and Ruth Kassel

The Community Foundation will honor two of its founders and community philanthropists, Ruth B. Kassel and James H. Ottaway Jr., during its Green Leaf Gala, on April 12 at 6 p.m. at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor. The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan helps individuals, businesses, and organizations establish permanent charitable funds that benefit area communities. Over 75 permanent charitable funds have been created since 1999 and combined have awarded nearly $1 million in scholarships and grants. Proceeds from the event will help the Community Foundation facilitate the creation of more charitable funds that will benefit the region. Tickets are $150 per person.
