    Graduations Kathleen M Margillo of Monroe was awarded a bachelor of arts degree in environmental science and policy by Duke University President Richard H. Brodhead during commencement ceremonies last month in Durham, N.C. Maxie Kalish, of Highland Mills was awarded a bachelor of arts in theatre arts from Clark University in Worcester, Mass. Kalish is a member of the Gryphon and Pleiades Senior Honor Society. She was recognized with one of the university’s first Outstanding Contribution to Wellness Awards. Daniel O’Neill of Monroe graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. Dean’s lists Marielle R. Araujo of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Clarkson University in Potsdam. She is a junior whose major is biology. To qualify for the dean’s list, Clarkson students must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.25 while carrying at least 14 credits. Daniel Monahan of Monroe has been named to the president’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Western New England College in Springfield, Mass. He is a sophomore majoring in finance. Students are named to the president’s list for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher. The following students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at the State University of New York at Geneseo: Michelle Lee from Highland Mill. Sarah Birnberg from Tuxedo Park. To be on the list, a student must have achieved a 3.5 grade point average while taking at least 12 credit hours. Students who achieve grade averages of 3.80 and above on the 4.00 scale are named to the president’s list, the top 6.5 percent of Oswego students. To be included on the deans’ list, students must have a semester grade average of 3.30 to 3.79.
