Dean’s list Laura Z. Smith, a resident of Pine Island, and a graduate of Warwick Valley High School, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Alfred University. She is a senior in the School of Art and Design. Students must earn at least a 3.3 grade point average to qualify for dean’s list. Joseph J. Mackey III of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition. Mackey is the son of Joseph and Kathleen Mackey of Warwick and a 2008 graduate of Warwick Valley High School. The following students were named to the fall 2009 dean’s list at SUNY Orange: The dean’s list is comprised of those full-time students not on academic probation who achieved at least a 3.0 quality point average over the course of the semester. Kaitlin Ulrich, a freshman at East Stroudsburg University, made the dean list for the 2009 fall semester with a 3.6 GPA Stephen D. Garby of Warwick was named to the fall dean’s list at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa. Dean’s list students must maintain a grade point average of 3.4 or above on a 4-point scale. Garby is a senior studying elementary education. Kathleen Burnell of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Nazareth College in Rochester. To qualify, a student’s grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester. Burnell, a junior, is studying psychology. Amanda Lax, daughter of Warwick has been named to the fall 2009 Dean’s List at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Lax, a junior, is a education major. Graduation Shane Meduski of Florida, N.Y., graduated magna cum laude from the University at Albany. He received a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a split-concentration in finance and information technology management at the Dec. 6 graduation ceremony. He is the son of Noreen Meduski of Florida and Mark Meduski of Slate Hill. His grandparents are Marge and Ed Hodas of Warwick and Gertrude and Stanley Meduski of Florida. Meduski , a 2005 graduate of S.S. Seward Institute, plans to continue his education toward an MBA in information technology management.
