College news: Students graduate, make their schools' honor roll

    The following is a summary of college news that has recently crossed the desks here at The Photo News: The following local students were among the graduates at the State University of New York at New Paltz commencement ceremony held on Dec. 17: • Jennifer D’Astolfo of Chester received a BA in English. • Virginia Norton of Chester received a BS in Nursing. • Christin Calabrese of Harriman received a MSED in Literacy Education: B-6. • Russell Brooks of Monroe received a MAT in Social Studies. • Linda Motyka of Monroe received a MPS in Humanistic Education. • Jenny Esposito of Monroe received a MSED in 7-12: Spanish. • Sandra Lattanzio of Monroe received a MST in MST: Childhood Education: 1-6. • Shanna McCormick of Monroe received a BS in Early Childhood B-2/English. • Ralph Villani of Monroe received a BS in Childhood 1-6/English. • Ryan Adler of Monroe received a BA in Journalism-Public Relations. • James Ferguson of Monroe received a BA in Communication Media: Management. • Drew Newcomer of Monroe received a BA in Psychology. • Lynne Preston of Monroe received a BS in Mathematics. • Jesse Silver of Sugar Loaf received a BA in Communication Media: Production. • Adrienne Ross Folino was awarded a Bachelor of Science diploma in Geology from SUNY Oneonta in December 2005. She is a graduate of Warwick Valley High School and the daughter of Ross and Madelyn Folino of Pine Island. • Adam Goldberg, son of Ronnie and Edward Goldberg of Highland Mills, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2005 semester at Southern Vermont College with a GPA of 3.75. A 2002 Monroe Woodbury High School graduate, he is majoring in communications and radio broadcasting, with a minor in journalism. • Jory Rubenstein, the son of Mona and Burt Rubenstein of Monroe, made the dean’s list for the fall 2005 semester at the College of Westchester in White Plains. A June 2005 graduate from Monroe-Woodbury High School, he earned a scholarship to attend the college, and is a multi-media major.
