Local students continue to be recognized for their academic successes at colleges and universities near and far. Here are the latest announcements to reach The Photo News: Lee Denaro of Monroe was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2007 semester at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Mass. Vi T. Curran of Highland Mills was named to the dean list for the fall semester from the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering at Binghamton University. Tiffany Witte of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the 2007 fall semester at Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass. A GPA of 3.75 or better is required. Christina M. Chiappetta of Monroe, a biology major attending Siena College in Loudonville, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2007 semester. She also is a recipient of the Charles and Leona MacClosky Scholarship and the Presidential Scholarship. Catherine N. Egan, a senior majoring in psychology at the University of Rochester, was named to the dean’s list for academic achievement in the College of Arts, Sciences and Engineering for the fall 2007 semester. Egan is the daughter of Michael and Diane Egan of Momroe and a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School. Dasle Kim of Tuxedo Park, the daughter of Kihong Kim and Sooyon Kim, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2007 semester at Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. A GPA of 3.844 or better is required. Jeffrey McCann, a student at the School of Business at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, has accepted an invitation of membership into the Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society. McCann is the son of Frank McCann and Margaret McCann Karl and the stepson of John M. Karl III of Monroe. Kevin McDonnell of Monroe, a sports management major at the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University, was named to the fall 2007 dean’s list.
