    Graduations Leigha Ann Weiss, daughter of Donald and Linda Weiss of Warwick, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. Ellen Dagele of the Village of Florida was among 1,749 students who received undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates of advanced study from The College of Saint Rose in Albany. She received a master of science in education as a member of the Class of 2011. Christopher Beers of the Village of Florida was among 1,749 students who received undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates of advanced study from The College of Saint Rose in Albany. He received a bachelor of fine arts as a member of the Class of 2011. Alisha Fuller of the Village of Florida was among the 20 graduates from first class of Pace University’s newly named College of Health Professions, who earned Doctors of Nursing Practice (DNP), a relatively new doctorate in nursing that prepares students for the highest level of clinical practice. Each of the graduates were advanced practice family nurse practitioners. Through partnerships with clinical agencies, faculty and students in the DNP Scholarly Clinical Mentored Project use a systematic evidence-based approach to assist in improving clinical practice. All student teams, supervised by faculty, have published scholarly articles on best practices related to the focus of their projects. Dean’s list Matthew Culkin of Warwick earned dean’s list honors for the spring 2011 semester at Marywood University with a 3.73 grade point average. Matthew, who is entering his senior year, also was honored by being placed on the CSAC winter/spring All-Academic Team for lacrosse. “These student-athletes have assumed leadership roles on their campuses by demonstrating that a complete education includes both academics and athletics,” said CSAC Assistant Commissioner Jennifer Dubow. Hannah Emery, Class of 2014 at Skidmore College, earned highest honors for the spring 2011 semester and honors for the fall 2010 semester. Highest honors are awarded for a quality point ratio of 3.670 or more from a possible 4.0. Honors are awarded for a grade point ratio of 3.4 to 3.669. Hannah is the daughter of James and Colleen Emery of Warwick. Kristen Jados of Pine Island has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Penn State University. She also has been accepted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, which is an interdisciplinary honors organization for first- and second-year college students. It provides students with access to networking resources, scholarships, travel and service projects. Kyra Leigh Jean Frosini, a senior majoring in psychology, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Endicott College in Beverly, Mass. She is the daughter of Gene and Alicia Frosini of Sugar Loaf. Sarah Garceau of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at SUNY Cortland. Sarah, a graduate of George Baker Tuxedo High School, is studying psychology. The following students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at the College of Saint Rose in Albany: Christopher Beers of Florida. David Paul of Florida. Kaela Lawrence of Pine Island. To be named to the dean’s list, a full-time student must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher with no course grade below 2.0 during the term.
