Here’s the latest on the academic successes of local residents: Kevin McDonnell of Monroe, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2007 semester from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University. His major is sports management. Allison M. Branning of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2007 semester at Harper College of Arts and Sciences, Binghamton University. Hillary Ovsak has been named to the dean’s honor list at Manhattan College in Riverdale for the fall 2007 semester. A 2005 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, Ovsak is majoring in elementary and special education. She also is a member of the Kapp Delta Pi International Honor Society for Education. Kristan Moyna of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Mass. She carried a GPA of 3.8 for the semester. Moyna is a 2005 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School and is studying this semester at Kingston University in London, England. Amy Hoenninger of Monroe expects to graduate in May from Sage College of Albany with an AAS in graphic design. The following local residents have been named to the dean’s list at Paul Smith’s College in upstate New York for the fall 2007 semester: Everett Rubin of Monroe, who is enrolled in the college’s Division of Hospitality, Resort and Culinary Management. Kelly Sherlock of Monroe, who also is enrolled in the college’s Division of Hospitality, Resort and Culinary Management. They earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction.
