Marissa Oakley and Wilmar Romero engaged to marry

GAITHERSBURG, MD. — Marissa Oakley and Wilmar Romero recently celebrated their engagement with a family barbecue in Gaithersburg, Md., where they live and work.

Marissa attended S.S. Seward Institute in the Village of Florida, where she graduated Valedictorian. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio, and her master’s degree from American University in Washington, D.C.

Wilmar also graduated from Muskingum University. Wilmar works at the U.S. Treasury Department; Marissa is working for American University in its human resources department.

Their wedding is planned for next April.
