Mariel Klein and Jordan Mayle wed

With great joy, our family celebrated the wedding of our daughter, Mariel Elizabeth Klein of Warwick, to Capt. Jordan Adam Mayle, U.S. Army Reserves, of Cleveland, Ohio, on Sunday, July 14, 2019.

The ceremony took place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Highland Falls, followed by a reception overlooking the Hudson River at The Garrison in Garrison.

The Rev. Michael J. Tunney, S.J., former head of the Fine Arts faculty at Canisius College in Buffalo and current faculty at Fairfield University, officiated the afternoon ceremony.

Tunney was an art advisor to Mariel during her undergraduate years at Canisius where she earned a B.S. in Animal Behavior. Mariel spent a post-undergraduate year as a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, serving the homeless and unemployed in Phoenix, Arizona, where she met Jordan who was working with homeless veterans to secure housing and employment.

Mariel holds an M.P.A. from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Environmental Science and Policy at Johns Hopkins University. She is employed as a Management Analyst for the city of Durham, N.C.

Jordan holds a. B.A. in Social Work from the University of Toledo and an M.B.A. from Grand Canyon University. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in G.I.S. studies at Northern Arizona State University.

He is employed in field operations for the city of Raleigh Zoning Department.

The couple are making their home in Durham, N.C.
