Denise Jayne Stubstad

Denise Jayne Stubstad, formally of Warwick, was born Nov. 28, 1961, in New Milford, Conn., to Warren and Marilyn Jayne, formally of Warwick.

She fought a courageous battle of cancer and went to heaven Dec. 19, 2013, in Sogne, Norway.

Denise will be missed by her family and friends in America, as well as in her adopted country of Norway.

Denise was a graduate of Warwick Valley High School, class of 1979.

She served honorably in the United States Navy.

She was extremely proud of accomplishing her goal to become a nurse after moving to Norway.

Denise was the loving mother of three beautiful daughters: Samantha Stubstad and her companion Thomas, Kellie Marie Stubstad and Annelise Stubstad of Norway.

Denise adored being a new grandmother to her first grandson, Kevin Jayne Sorensen.

Denise is survived by her parents Warren and Marilyn Jayne of Avon Park, Fla.; her siblings Gregory and his wife Diane of Warwick, Allison of Warwick, Karen of Howells and Sharon and her companion Ken of Huntersville, N.C. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.

Her funeral will be held on Dec. 31 in Sogne, Norway.

A memorial celebration will be held in Warwick at a later date.
