We the People Warwick, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering community connection, well-being and empowerment, announces the launch of “Pathways to Wholeness for Teens.”

This transformative program aims to guide teenagers on a journey of self-discovery, offering them invaluable tools to enhance their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Meeting every Tuesday in August from 3:30 to 5 p.m., “Pathways to Wholeness for Teens” will take place at the Vastu Health Center, located in Warwick. The program is open to all local teens, providing a safe and supportive environment where they can explore various holistic practices designed to nurture their overall wellness.

We the People Warwick has sought to understand the challenges faced by young individuals in today’s fast-paced world through their ongoing “Youth Engagement Questionnaire” and has used the information gleaned to develop the “Pathways to Wholeness for Teens” program.

With the increasing pressures and demands of daily life, it is crucial to equip teens with effective coping mechanisms and self-care practices. “Pathways to Wholeness for Teens” aims to do this by offering a diverse range of free introductory classes.

The classes provided will cover a wide array of areas essential to achieving balance and wholeness, and teens are invited to participate in as many of the five free sessions as they’d like.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in movement-based activities such as qigong, Kai Chi Do and yoga which harnesses the healing power of gentle, flowing exercises.

Meditation, journaling, breathwork and other practical techniques to overcome anxiety, cultivate self-reflection and develop emotional resilience are also among the offerings.

Sound healing and drumming sessions will provide creative outlets for self-expression and stress relief.

By fostering a sense of community and providing a safe space for open discussion and learning, “Pathways to Wholeness for Teens” aims to empower teenagers to face challenges with confidence and self-assurance.

As spaces are limited, interested teens are encouraged to sign up in advance to secure their place in each “Pathways to Wholeness for Teens” session they wish to attend. Registration and further information is available at wethepeoplewarwick.org/pathways-to-wholeness.

We the People Warwick is a grassroots organization dedicated to fostering dialogue and building community well-being through various initiatives. “Pathways to Wholeness for Teens” is part of an ongoing commitment to empower young individuals and to create a healthier, more resilient community.
