Do LED lamps require a ballast to convert line voltage to operating voltage?
| 03 Jul 2014 | 09:20
LED lamps operate at low voltage and require a “driver” to convert line voltage (typically 120V) to low voltage. However, most retrofit LED lamps have built-in drivers or electronics to do that job. So, you can simply screw them into existing line voltage sockets without any other changes. That's a good thing!
