WARWICK — What does a 34-year-old woman do when her heart is broken, her career is stalled and the U.S. economy is collapsing?

For Sarah Jackson, the answer was to drop it all and head straight to New Zealand.

Jackson is an award-winning television writer, producer and creative director whose work has appeared on Comedy Central and Nickelodeon .

On Sunday, Aug. 11, art 12:30 p.m., the Albert Wisner Public Library will host “You are Here,” a slide show and talk about the two years Jackson said she was lost in the South Pacific in search of meaning, only to find it right here at home in Warwick.

Often funny, sometimes sad and always honest, Jackson has returned to her hometown in the hopes her story will inspire others in her community to investigate their own lives with curiosity, courage and a great sense of humor.

Be charmed
This is the third time the library has scheduled Jackson’s sideshow and talk. It was first scheduled for early November 2012 but Hurricane Sandy had other ideas for the area.

It was then re-scheduled for February 2013 but a winter storm but an end to that plan.

Jackson and the Library staff are very hopeful that the weather will cooperate and the program will go on without a hitch.

Registration is requested for this event. To register online go to www.albertwisnerlibrary.org or call 986-1047 ext. 3. The talk will be followed by refreshments and music.
