WVHS hosts three winter concerts

WARWICK — Warwick Valley School District invites the public to three free high school winter concerts on Dec. 4, 11, and 17 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The first concert on Tuesday, Dec. 4, will showcase the Meistersingers and Women’s Chorus, both rated Level 6 Silver by the New York State School Music Association.

The second concert on Tuesday, Dec. 11, features the NYSSMA-rated Level 5 Gold winning Wind Ensemble, and the popular Concert Band and Jazz Band, both first-prize winners at Six Flags Music in the Parks competition last spring.

The final concert on Monday, Dec. 17, which includes the Level 6 Silver-rated Chamber Strings and Symphony Orchestra, will include the talents of Warwick s highest NYSSMA-rated student musicians, who were selected to perform at this year s prestigious All-State Festival in Rochester.
