Wst Point's Music Under the Stars will conclude with a big bang

West Point — The West Point Band presents its annual 1812 Concert with fireworks at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, at the Trophy Point Amphitheatre. This concert concludes the season's Music Under the Stars series. The band will perform famous marches like Fucik’s "Entry of the Gladiators," highlights from "Harry Potter," and the crowd favorite, "1812 Overture" by Tchaikovsky. The band will perform various bluegrass selections with special guests Chief Warrant Officer 5 Charles Vollherbst and Staff Sgts. Marlisa and Dean Woods from the U.S. Army Band in Washington, D.C. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display over the Hudson River. Allow extra travel time for the 100 percent vehicle and photo I.D. inspection at Stony Lonesome and Thayer gates. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held on Monday, Sept. 5.
