Women's empowerment workshop in Newburgh

    Newburgh —The “Being Goddess Power” workshop is being held from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16 at Sheila Pearl’s Shalom Center, 75 Broadway in Newburgh. Lunch and snacks are included. The workshop costs $150 and is limited to 10 women. Pearl helps participants empower the four aspects of a fully engaged life: the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The workshop is designed to provide the tools to tap women’s innate ability and “goddess” power to begin to live life more fully. Pearl is a trained family therapist in private practice for over 20 years. She is also has been a cantor, educator, and spiritual sounselor for over 20 years, and has extensive experience as a holistic wellness consultant. She holds a Master’s degreee in clinical social work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University. She served as Cantor/Educator for over 13 years at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in New Jersey. “In the coaching paradigm, the therapist becomes coach, mentor, and cheerleader, and the patient becomes the empowered client; it is about facilitating an individual’s personal growth and highest potential...” commented Ms. Pearl.
