Winter classes II beginning at Warwick Valley Community Center

    Warwick - Winter II 2005 classes at the Warwick Valley Community Center will start the week of March 7. All classes and programs are open to the public, including families from surrounding areas and communities. • There are still limited openings in the Small Fry Preschool located at the Warwick Valley Community Center in the four-year-old afternoon class. An Enrichment class is also available for four-year-olds in the M-W-F a.m. and p.m. classes, on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1n3:30 p.m. New this year are extended day hours available to four-year-olds in the Monday-Wednesday-Friday class. The a.m. class will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the p.m. class will be held from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. • Popular children's classes include: Intro to Ballet, Beg./Int. Drawing, Cooking with Roseann, Pottery & Ceramics, Science & Nature, Play-Acting, Children's Theater, Intro to Juggling, and Time for Twos. This semester, the Warwick Valley Community Center is proud to offer a Hand Drumming class, taught by Ed Helbig of the Free Spirit Nature Camp. • The AfterSchool program for Grades K-5 also has limited space available. Bus transportation is available for Park Avenue school students. The program runs through June, Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The fee is $30 per week. There is a yearly registration fee of $15. Sibling discounts and financial aid are available. Half Day AfterSchool is available for Grades K-5, dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Pre-registration required. • Popular classes for Teens include Pottery/Ceramics, Teen Theater, Intro to Juggling and a Creative Kitchen Cooking class with Roseann. The free teen center also is open every afternoon from 2n6 p.m. and offers a variety of activities for students in grades 6-12 including yoga and ceramics. • For Adults, classes include Intermediate Ballet, Basic Music Theory, Ceramics Open Studio, Beg./Int. Pottery, Kathak Dance of North India and Yoga (a.m. & p.m. classes). This semester, the Warwick Valley Community Center is proud to welcome back our popular Life Drawing Class.
