Winslows first annual music festival this Sunday, June 10

WARWICK The well-known New York City Celtic rock band Black 47 and 18-time Grammy award-winner Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra will perform this Sunday, June 10, from noon to 5 p.m., at the Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery, 114 Little York Road.
The festival, Winslow Rocks, will also feature Professor Louie and the Crowmatix, an Americana/Roots musical group led by Aaron Hurwitz, a musician and producer nicknamed Professor Louie. Their music is a blend of blues, rock, gospel, and folk with harmonic vocals.
Proceeds from the event, presented by Warwick Valley Financial Advisors, will benefit programs offered at Winslow Therapeutic Center, a not for profit Hippotherapy Riding Center accredited by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association and devoted to the special needs population of Orange and surrounding counties.

In addition event co-coordinator Cindy Vander Plaat, who won the first-place award in Winslows Annual Duck Derby, is donating her $1,000 prize to purchase tickets to Sundays event for Winslow volunteers.
Leo Kaytes, president of Winslows Board of Directors, was another winner who donated his third place iPod prize back to Winslow and he is also contributing $,1000 to purchase additional tickets for Winslow volunteers and their families.
Essential information Tickets are $15 in advance (children 10 and under are free) and available on line at wvwinery.com or at Winslow Therapeutic Riding and retailers that offer ticket sales. The price at the gate on the day of the event will be $20.
