Winslow plans annual Ride/Walk-A-Thon

Warwick The Warwick County Park will be filled with Winslow staff, volunteers, parents, horses, riders and supporters, who will gather together for Winslow Therapeutic Center’s 33rd Annual Alison Klepper Ride/Walk-A-Thon, to be held on Sunday, Sept. 16. The trails in the 800-acre park will be opened up exclusively for horseback riding on the day of the event. Supporters will ride and walk to raise money for Winslow’s Alison Klepper Memorial Fund, created by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Klepper in memory of their daughter, Alison. The funds help those in need who otherwise could not afford to receive services. Pledge forms can be picked up at Winslow Therapeutic Center 328 Route 17A, Warwick, or on the Web at www.winslow.org. Winslow depends on volunteers and donations to continue operating and providing therapeutic riding to children and adults with special needs. Winslow would like to thank the businesses, volunteers, and people in the community who are sponsoring the Ride/Walk-A-Thon and help make this event possible.
