Winslow ducks to swim again during derby on May 20

    Warwick - Festivities leading up to the 17th annual Winslow Duck Derby will begin Sunday, May 20, at 10 a.m. Then at 1:30 p.m., thousands of bright yellow Winslow ducks will start their swim down Wawayanda Creek in Warwick. A host of community Organizations and businesses are selling duck tickets for $5 a piece, with each duck being eligible to win its “owner” one of ten great prizes n with first prize at $1,000 cash. Winslow shares 50 percent of the proceeds of an organization’s sales with that organization. Those organizations include: • Youth Advocate Program • Boy Scout Troup #45 - Warwick • Christ Church n Warwick • Jr. Girl Scout troop #174 n Warwick • Leukemia Lymphoma Society • New Milford Historical Society • Park Ave PTA • Warwick Football • Warwick Rotary • Warwick Youth Wrestling • Warwick Lions Club • Warwick Masonic Lodge #544 • Women of the Monroe Area • Junior Olympics • Winslow’s Youth Council • American Cancer Society • GALLOP Therapeutic Riding Program • FFA • Greenwood Lake Schools • Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce • AAU Basketball • Boy Scouts Pack #63 n Goshen • Warwick Travel Soccer •Vernon Schools Businesses that will be assisting Winslow with this fund raising include: Edenville Country Store, The Inkwell, Vernon Massage & Wellness, WVT Communications, Warwick Dry Cleaners, New Milford Country Store and Newhards. Tickets may be purchased at merchants on Main Street the day of the Duck Derby.
