Wine and food fest celebrates valley's bounty

    Washingtonville — Join the Shawangunk Wine Trail on Saturday, July 28, and Sunday, July 29, at Brotherhood, America’s Oldest Winery, in Washingtonville, as they host the 12th Annual Bounty of the Hudson. This two-day wine and food festival, featuring live music, brings together the Hudson Valley Wineries under one tent. Visitors will sample side-by side tastings of the region’s array of wines.: dry, complex, locally grown Seyval, Chardonnay or Pinot Noir, to sweeter apple and strawberry wines. This is an opportunity to experience the range and quality now achieved by the wines of Hudson River Region. Wine trail members include: Adair Vineyards & Rivendell Winery, New Paltz , Whitecliff Vineyards, Gardiner, Benmarl Vineyards, Glorie Farm Winery & Stoutridge Winery, Marlboro, Baldwin Vineyards, Pine Bush , Brotherhood Winery, Washingtonville, and Applewood Winery & Warwick ValleyWinery & Distillery, Warwick. Also participating is Sprout Creek, who will be there with their cheese along with Soons Orchards, Royal Acres Farm and Mercer Dairy. Gourmet dishes will be available from local restaurants like Copper Bottom in Florida, Laughran’s in Salisbury Mills, and Maggies in the Alley in Chester. Event tickets are $25 plus tax in advance and $33 at the door. Event hours are noon to 5 p.m. each day. Brotherhood is located at 100 Brotherhood Plaza, Washingtonville.
