Whodunit

The Playhouse at Museum Village begins its 24th season with “Getting Away with Murder,” a suspense thriller written by George Furth and Stephen Sondheim.
Performances are scheduled for May 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th, 11th 17th and 18th at 8 p.m., and on Sundays, May 5th and May 19th, at 3 p.m.
The plot
This non-musical theatre piece by Stephen Sondheim, co-written with George Furth, is a thriller that puts seven patients of a psychiatrist together for a session on the top floor of an apartment building, with the doctor permanently unavailable.
The play is propelled by a series of twists and turns and red herrings, along with some hold-your-breath shocks, all culminating in an explosive surprise ending.
Act One is a "whodunit" and by its end the audience knows the murderer.
Act Two becomes a suspense play … will the characters figure it out?
Will someone actually be "getting away with murder?"
The play is directed by Steve Davis.
