West Point band's Jazz Knights to perform in “A Tribute to the Vocalists”

West Point—The United States Military Academy Band’s Jazz Knights will continue the “Music Under the Stars” concert series with “A Tribute to the Vocalists” on Sunday, July 23rd, at 7:30 p.m. at the Trophy Point Amphitheatre. The Jazz Knights will feature guest vocalists Joe Francis and Rob Zappulla, along with selections by Sergeants First Class Laura Bradley and MaryKay Messenger. This concert is a rescheduled event that was originally canceled due to rain on June 25. Rob Zappulla has toured and opened for many groups including The Shirelles, The Temptations, Tower of Power, The Drifters and Little Anthony. Rob is the current vocalist for the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and performs regularly, both nationally and internationally. Joe Francis honed his craft with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. He has appeared on BBC Television with the BBC Big Band and has toured both in the U.S. and Europe. Visitors to West Point are reminded to allow extra travel time for the 100% vehicle and photo I.D. inspection at Stony Lonesome and Thayer gates.
