Watermelon Slim performs at Bodles

Chester — Veteran bluesman Bill Homans, aka Watermelon Slim, makes a return appearance at Bodles Opera House on Aug. 18. Slim, who taught himself left-handed backward slide guitar while in an Army hospital in Vietnam, was nominated for a W.C. Handy best new artist debut award.
