Performing at last year’s Applefest in Warwick is “Jubilate,” the Warwick community youth choir, which will host a benefit concert on Saturday, April 5, at 7 p.m., at Christ Church in Warwick. “Bravi Tutti! A Gala Evening with Jubilate and Friends” will feature performers from the world of opera who have sung leading roles with major companies, including the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Opera, the San Francisco Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Dallas Opera. Joining the choir onstage will be sopranos Nikki Li Hartliep and Anne Barker, mezzo soprano Joan Tirrell, tenor Michele Farrugia and baritone James Rensink. The singers are donating their talents to support the growth and development of Jubilate, as it continues to receive praise for its performing excellence in the midst of its second season. At present, this treble choir consists of 24 hand-picked young vocalists between grades 5 and 12 and will expand its performing schedule to include a young men’s choir and a mixed SATB choir. Concert proceeds will provide additional opportunities for more gifted young musicians to enter the Jubilate training program. Tickets are $50 each, including the post performance reception. Seating is limited. Call 986-1774.
