— The newly opened Sugar Loaf Taphouse at 1368 Kings Highway in the Hamlet of Sugar Loaf will host the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce "Endless Summer Business Mixer" on Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Co-owners Heather and Marco Solari are planning the event exclusively for chamber members, guests and friends.
"Our team at Sugar Loaf Taphouse," said Heather Solari, "is very excited to welcome the Warwick Valley community to our new venue. We have a very special evening in store."
Guests are invited to pack plenty of business cards and enjoy great company with area professionals in a casual rustic setting.
They can gather around the original barn wood and granite top bar with a cocktail or try one of the 12 taps from local breweries along with signature appetizer selections prepared by the restaurant's Executive Chef Tom Kounouklas, a Johnson and Wales culinary graduate (cash bar available).
Each guest will also be eligible to win a variety of raffles and prizes.
The Solari family recently bought the building, once home to the former Barnsider Tavern, and have made numerous repairs and modern updates including a newly renovated bar, new windows, brand new bathrooms and a new kitchen while maintaining the original rustic flavor and architectural charm of the establishment. Sugar Loaf Taphouse, an American Grill, uses fresh local and seasonal ingredients to prepare lunch and dinner from Tuesday through Sunday.
The restaurant is also available for private parties, weddings, special events, and business meetings, in addition to a take-out and off-premise catering.
Heather and Marco Solari are also the owners of the popular Copper Bottom Restaurant in the Village of Florida.
The cost of this summertime social event is $10 for any local chamber member and their guests and $20 for non-members.
