OrangeREADS: Bill Bryson

Orange Library Association presents : a VIRTUAL book discussion and author event with bestselling author Bill Bryson to be held on Sunday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. Bryson, in his book, “The Body: A Guide for Occupants,” takes us on an extraordinary journey through the human body.

This is a virtual program on Zoom. All registrants will receive, via email, the link to the discussion in advance of the event. Registration is through the Tuxedo Park Library portal at www.tuxedoparklibrary.org.

Danielle Henderson

On Sunday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m., join local author Danielle Henderson as she discusses her memoir, “The Ugly Cry,” in which she writes about experiencing abuse from family members, being abandoned by her mother and growing up with her foulmouthed, horror movie-loving grandmother.

Individually these topics seem unfathomably heavy — but Henderson leavens them with humor to create a wholly original testament to survival.

Books for all three talks are available for checkout at the library. Register online at www.albertwisnerlibrary.org or call the Help Desk at 845-986-1047, ext. 3.
