Warwick's Founding Veterans: Revolutionary War author talk and book signing

On Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m., the Albert Wisner Library will host local historian Sue Gardner presenting material from her new book, "Pure Necessity: Revolution at Warwick."

The book tells the story of the Warwick Valley during the Revolutionary War using original documents, eyewitness testimony and oral traditions.

Research was compiled by the author with the help of many volunteers over the past 20 years.

The project is part of the Friends of Hathorn House's mission to discover a the true history of Gen. John Hathorn, his militia and the people of the area during the late 18th century.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
