WARWICK-Keene Publishing, home of Moo Press Children's Books in Warwick, will host two booths during Applefest on Sunday, Oct. 2, for author appearances and book signings. At the Keene Publishing booth #154 in the Bank of New York parking lot will be: • Barbara Lanza, author and illustrator of Time to Fly, A Fairy Lane Book (ages 4 and up). • Alan K. Lewis, author of I Grew Up On A Farm (ages 4 and up). • Charmaine Gordon, author of Once Again, Now (women's lit). • Kathleen Kubik, author of Neither Sand Nor Sea (women's lit). Appearing in the second Keene Publishing booth #333 in Lewis Park, near the Dog Show, will be Lady, a Therapy Dog, the star and subject of One Incredible Dog! Lady, with her owner and trainer nurse Kathy Miller. Lady and Miller will be accompanied by author Chris Williams. She will be joined by Boone, the star of One Incredible Dog! Boone, just published this month. Boone, a Search and Rescue dog, will be accompanied by his owners and trainers Jim and Terri Heck. "So many authors are coming," said publisher Diane Tinney Keene, "that we needed to get two booths. We are particularly excited this year, as four of the authors are local, hailing from Warwick, Pine Island, Middletown and Nyack." In addition to Applefest, many of these authors will make appearances at local schools and stores in the days before and after Applefest. Boone and Lady will be at Barnes & Noble in Newburgh on Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Keene Publishing books are available at The Bookstore, 20 Main St., Warwick, and wherever books are sold.
