Warwick Lions Club to sponsor wellness program this Saturday
Warwick For over 20 years the Warwick Lions Club has sponsored a blood and health clinic for the community each spring. Last year, nearly 500 people took advantage of this low cost service which provides invaluable health screening to individuals. The results contain over 32 different tests that are automatically forwarded to the family physician for review at a fraction of the cost of normal blood tests. At this clinic the Lions also provide blood pressure testing, diabetes awareness, hearing tests and eye exams. A chiropractor is also available to answer questions. This year’s clinic will be held on Saturday, April 12, 6 to 11 a.m., at the Warwick Middle School Cafeteria, 231 West Street Extension. Call 800-234-8888 for an appointment, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Provide your physician’s name and address when you make the appointment. Be prepared to fast for 13 hours prior to your appointment. Walk-ins will be allowed, as long as 13-hour fast has been observed. Cost: $32, with additional options available. Bagels, doughnuts, juice and coffee will be provided. A $5 donation to the Warwick Lions Club is suggested to cover the costs associated with this program, as well as the other community events sponsored by the Lions Club.
