Warwick - On Saturday, Feb. 11, the Warwick Independent Business Alliance will host a screening of the new documentary, “Independent America: The Two Lane Search for Mom & Pop,” at the Warwick Valley Community Center beginning at 7:30 p.m. This 80-minute documentary features filmmakers Hanson Hosein and Heather Hughes as they hit the road and travel 21,000 kilometers through 32 states in search of “Independent America.” It’s a place surrounded by hardy souls fighting for the right to remain independent in a land smothered by big-box stores and fast-food chains. And they do it all by abiding by two simple rules: No interstate highways and they can only do business with local, independent businesses. “Independent America: The Two Lane Search for Mom & Pop” is a film that will encourage Americans to think hard about how and where they spend their money.
