Warwick Foundation for Excellence in Learning to host Speakeasy Fund Raiser on April 14
GOSHEN — The Warwick Foundation for Excellence in Learning (WFEL) will host its second annual decade party at the Stagecoach Inn, 268 Main St. in Goshen on Saturday, April 14, from 7 p.m. to midnight.
The event will feature the Roaring 20's with a Prohibition/Gatsby theme.
Tickets are $100 per person and will include one cocktail, a buffet style menu featuring carving stations and other specialties from that era.
There will be a cash bar, music and Gatsby era costumes are strongly encouraged.
This fund raiser will directly benefit the students and teachers in the Warwick Valley School District. The foundation funds mini grants for teachers, and is a co-sponsor of the One Book One School program in both Elementary Schools.
WFEL also helps funds and facilitate the job shadowing and career fair programs at the high school in collaboration with the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The foundation also helps fund other projects as identified by the school administration.
“Last years 80's decade party was an amazing success," said Vanessa Holland , the chair of WFEL. "We are looking forward to seeing everyone dressed in their Gatsby finery as the Stagecoach Inn is the perfect venue for our 1920's Speakeasy.”
