Warwick Fire Department hosts Carnival June 20-23
Warwick - The Warwick Volunteer Fire Department’s annual summer carnival opens Wednesday, June 20, at 6 p.m., in Warwick’s Memorial Park on Forester Avenue. The carnival which runs through Saturday, June, 23, will feature Gillette Shows’ array of rides, games of chance, food, fireworks and amusements. Carnival gates open at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is wrist band night; $12 for rides all night. Friday is emergency services night; wear a shirt or hat from fire, police or EMS and ride all night for $12. Saturday the carnival opens at 5 p.m. and runs until midnight. A fireworks display, put on by July 4 Forever, starts at 10 p.m. The department is a volunteer organization established in 1869 that provides the community with firefighting, rescue and emergency medical services.
