Warwick Center presents 'Nutcracker Tea with Sugarplum Fairy' this Saturday and Sunday

— The Warwick Center for the Performing Arts at 63 Wheeler Ave. will present "Nutcracker Tea with the Sugarplum Fairy" this Saturday, Dec. 2 at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. in the Center's Black Box Theatre.
The classic holiday tradition is directed by Melissa Padham-Maass with costumes and set by Lucinda Henry, former owner and director of Dancer's Studio, and Warwick Ballet Theatre. Choreography is by Henry and Padham-Maass.
"The Nutcracker Tea with the Sugar Plum Fairy," said Padham-Maass, "is a perfectly sweet way to kick off your family's holiday festivities. This family-friendly event is a holiday delight for ballet lovers of all ages."
Guests are taken on a journey through the Land of Sweets in Act II of The Nutcracker Ballet featuring the Warwick Dance Collective and students from the Warwick Center for the Performing Arts.
First, an elegant tea partyThe performance is proceeded by an elegant tea party and followed by a meet and greet with the Sugar Plum Fairy and member dancers of The Nutcracker.
General admission tickets are $5 for children ages five and under; $15 for children ages six to 12 and $20 for adults.
Interactive experienceGuests ages 14 and under can also choose to begin their interactive Nutcracker experience with a hair and make-up session.
The styling session is by appointment only and is meant to transform the guest into the glimmering and enchanting world of the Nutcracker Ballet with makeup complete with glitter and a ballerina bun including a keepsake hairpiece.
