WARWICK — In "The Smile Mile, published by WestBow Press, Warwick author Hope L. Stuart encourages children to go the extra mile; at home, in school, at church and in their community.
"The Smile Mile," now available locally at retail shops including Hip and Chic as well as Amazon and Barnes and Noble, touches upon the historical origin of going the extra mile and doing good things for others while providing present day application of surpassing all expectations.
"This story represents the absolute power of God and is a genuine example of how He utilized my God-given gifts to spread His word," said Stuart. "I can't wait to hear the stories of people going The Smile Mile to do good for others within their family, school and community on a daily basis."
According to Stuart, her recently released book explains that the historical origin of "going the extra mile" is based on a concept Jesus introduced and modeled during his time on Earth. The book also features a list of practices so that readers can implement "Smile Miles" into their daily routine.
"While going the extra mile, readers will inspire others to do the same. Smile Miles can be big or small," said Stuart. "No matter what the size, Smile Miles will make the world a better place, one Smile Mile at a time."
Stuart is also a wife and mother.
After 15 years in education, with nine years devoted to school administration, she retired as principal. She became a professional organizer and educational consultant for H.O.P.E. Daylee USA, a corporation she founded and owns.
