Warwick Artists open Studio Tour 2005

    Warwick - More than 30 artists will open their studios to the public and will be on site to discuss their work with visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24-25. Many will have works for sale. And for the first time in the history of this popular tour, a joint gallery space has been made available for five emerging artists to show and discuss their work with visitors. Tour-goers purchase a single ticket for the entire tour, which provides a map to all studios. Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for children 12 and younger; $5 for senior citizens. Tickets and maps will be available for purchase in the village at The Bookstore, Newhards, and Port of Call n all on Main Street; at The Farmers Market, held Sundays; and during the weekend of the event at The Railroad Green on Railroad Avenue. An exhibit of work from all participating artists will be held in conjunction with the event at The Gallery at Port of Call, Main Street, Warwick, from Sept. 8 through 25. An opening reception will be held Sept. 10 from 6-9 p.m. Warwick is home to a rich and diverse group of artists, including painters, potters, sculptors, photographers, collage artists, a glass blower, jewelry makers and many whose work cannot be categorized.
