Warwick Advertiser photographer to exhibit his work

West Milford His photos have been featured in The Warwick Advertiser, and you may have met him at one of the town’s many events. On Sunday, Dec. 9, Mike Bousquet will present a special one-day exhibit featuring his favorite images captured while working as a photojournalist. Pictured among the photographs will be residents of Warwick, Sugar Loaf and the surrounding areas. The exhibit will be part of the third annual Lakeside Arts and Crafts Festival on 66 Somerville Road in Hewitt, N.J., just past the state line. Doors will be open from noon until 5 p.m. Bousquet will be on hand to answer any questions. Bousquet’s photos, and those of other photographers for The Warwick Advertiser, can always be viewed online at www.warwickadvertiser.com. The photos chosen for the exhibit will also become part of a digital album that can be viewed at www.bousquetphotography.com after the event. Bousquet has been taking photographs as a hobby for more than 13 years. In 2004 he made the switch from film to digital with a little encouragement from a member of the wedding photojournalist association, Kristen Kay. Using his new digital camera, Bousquet began selling digital images online to Web developers and advertisers. Since his first assignment for Straus Newspapers in March 2006, Bousquet has photographed events for five different newspapers in the surrounding towns and spoken to countless residents. He also enjoys shooting travel photography and studio shoots for models. He can be contacted by e-mail at mike@bousquetphotography.com.
