Warwick Actor Training School to offer watercolor classes

WARWICK — The Warwick Actor Training School, which offers a program open to students ages 12 to adult, is expanding its curriculum to offer classes in watercolor painting. beginning this January.
"'Actor' means one who takes action," said Director Donna Haley, "and the New Year is a great time for that."
She added: "Experimenting and enjoying the fun of discovery is what we're about. So we are offering classes for the artist in you. Watercolor painting is improvisation on paper. It simply requires curiosity and enjoying the rewards of creative growth."

She is a lifetime member of The Art Students League and has exhibited her artwork at the Phyllis Harriman Gallery in Manhattan, theartbeat345nyc in Harlem and Avenue Gallery in Norwalk, Conn., as well as private collections throughout the United States and Canada.

Haley will instruct .the course she terms Watercolor for the Beginner and Explorer to the Advanced Risk Taker.
The classes, she said, are designed for those who want to learn and experiment with watercolor painting. Emphasis will be on methods and techniques to capture your unique vision.
"The weekly practice," said Haley, "will build skill and confidence in your approach and class camaraderie will support that, so you may bring home many remarkable and beautiful paintings. The process of art is always evolving and you will have the fun of feeling and seeing that develop in our friendly environment."
Twelve sessions will begin on Jan. 14, Mondays, 6 to 8:30 p.m.
