Walking tour Saturday highlights village history

Monroe — The Monroe Historical Society will hold its first annual Walking Tour at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, starting from the DeAngelis Hall on Lake Street in Monroe. The walk will proceed down Stage Road to the Cheese Factory, and end at the little Yellow House. Participants will hear a brief description and history of the buildings on the way, some of which date back to the 1700’s. For more information, call 220-8379.
