Vertigo' starts off Director's Film Series

Sugar Loaf Classic Hollywood films from directors such as Alfred Hitchcock, John Ford, John Huston, and Frank Capra will be shown at the Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts in Sugar Loaf, as part of its new Director’s Film Series in the Centre’s Pavilion. The movies will be shown once a month on Friday nights. The first, Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo,” is scheduled for this Friday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Before the movie starts, Vince Begley, English Professor at Mount Saint Mary College, will give a brief lecture about the director and the film. Tickets are $7.50 per person and may be purchased at the door or by calling the box office at 469-2285, Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
