Upcoming programs at Monroe Free Library

    Monroe - The following is a list of upcoming programs for children, teens and adults at Monroe Free Library. All programs will be held at the library, located at 44 Millpond Parkway. Many also require registration; call 783-4411 to register or for more information. • Tuesday, Jan. 8, 10:30 a.m., Mommy & Me Craft (for 2-year-olds): Finger painting. Get your hands dirty in the name of art. Free registration required. • Thursday, Jan. 10, 10:30 a.m., Preschool Craft (3, 4 and 5-year-olds): Finger painting. Get your hands dirty in the name of art. Free registration required. • Saturday, Jan. 12, 11 a.m., Walk-in Story Time. Kids of all ages are invited to drop in to hear a story and do an activity. No registration. • Saturday, Jan. 12, 1:30 p.m., Saturday family movies features “Ratatouille.” We provide the popcorn, you provide the drinks (in closed containers, please). No registration required. • Monday, Jan. 14 and 28, 1:30-4 p.m., Armchair Cooking. Watch a DVD of a chef cooking several meals, then dine on one of the dishes shown. Free registration is open now for both dates. • Wednesday, Jan. 16, 4:30 p.m., Craft (K-1st grade): Working With Clay. Free registration required. • Thursday, Jan. 17, 4:30 p.m., Craft (2nd-5th grade): Working With Clay. Free registration required. • Saturday, Jan. 19, 11 a.m., Walk-in Story Time.
