United States Military Academy band presents Listener's Choice concert

West Point — The United States Military Academy Band will continue its popular “Music Under the Stars” concert series at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, at West Point’s Trophy Point Amphitheatre. As with all academy band concerts, this performance is free and open to the public. In the event of inclement weather, this concert will take place in the Eisenhower Hall Theater. The Academy Concert Band, under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Timothy J. Holtan, will present a Listener’s Choice concert program. Throughout the summer, the band has collected requests that the audience would like to hear. The Listener’s Choice program will comprise these musical requests. The performance will consist of perennial favorites as well as more obscure works. Concert-goers should allow extra travel time for the 100 percent vehicle and photo identification inspection at Stony Lonesome and Thayer gates.
