Uncorked & Unplugged' presents jazz duo Gene Bertoncini and Frank Vignola
Warwick As part of “Uncorked & Unplugged,” Sugar Loaf Music Series 2006, the jazz duo Gene Bertoncini and Frank Vignola will appear at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 17, at the Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery. One of the elder statesman of the jazz guitar, Bertonicini, meets the younger guitar wizard, Frank Vignola, in this tour de force chamber music presentation. Bertoncini has recorded on a plethora of classic jazz recordings, and is a faculty member at Eastman School of Music. Vignola is an in-demand studio jazz guitarist. A bistro style menu will be available from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is $20. Due to limited seating at the winery, reservations are required. The Afternoon Series, from 2 to 5 p.m., will include “Contemporary American Blues” with Chrissy Roberts on Saturday, March 11, “Acoustic Americana” with Steve Vecchiotti on Sunday, March 11, “Fingerstyle Folk” with Larry Amato on Saturday, March 18, “Acoustic Blues” with Son Lewis on Sunday, March 19, “Folk Music” with Bobby Barton and Kyle Hancherick on Saturday, March 25, and “Finger-style Guitar” with John Sheehan on Sunday, March 26. There is no cover charge for the afternoon concerts. Wine education and tasting are available daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A bistro style menu is available from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
