Tuxedo library programs explore beauty, Celtic art
Tuxedo Park - The Tuxedo Park Library, located at 227 Route 17 in Tuxedo Park, will host the following programs: Body Image and Beauty on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m. What is beautiful? Has beauty remained constant over the course of history? These questions and more are explored in this one and half hour digital presentation by Art History Professor Susan Slater-Tanner. Registration begins Jan. 8. Celtic Art, Myth and Spirit on Wednesday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m. Join Professor Susan Slater-Tanner as she explores the tenacity of Celtic spirit, the oral traditions of early Celts and Gauls that spoke of heroic deeds and ancient myths and the art that reflects Celtic Spirit. The book of Kells, the Tara Brooch and the visual significance of horses in Celtic art are but a few of the subjects that will be discussed in this hour and a half digital presentation. Registration begins Feb. 26. Weekly Children’s programs will begin on Feb. 20 and run through April 20. Registration begins Feb. 12.
