Try African drumming at the Interactive Museum

    Middletown — Master drummer Maxwell Kofi Donkor will teach the technique, history, and culture of African drumming and dance from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Interactive Museum, located at 23 Center St. in Middletown. Donkor is an internationally known, award-winning sculptor, drummer, and teacher who has been performing for over 30 years. He directs the African drum and dance ensemble Sankofa, which in the Twi language of his native Asante Kingdom in Ghana means “going back to roots.” Drum rentals cost $5 and require registration.
